GENERAL LITERATURE AND SCIENCE October 1887 provided he is under seventeen years on October See page 153 III The regular work of the Term will begin on Thursday October Thursday January 12 and Thursday April 19 on which days all Students are required to be present at 10 unless special leave of absence is obtained before- hand from the Principal IV The Council require that Half-term's Notice be given the Secretary in writing of the removal of Student rom the College This notice must be given before the close 3f the first half of the Term in which Student is to leave md if not so given the payment of Half-term's Fees will be -equired In 1887-88 the Half-terms will end on November February 14 and May 19 The Students received into this Department are Matriculated Students or those admitted to the regular md full prescribed course of study Each Candidate for Matriculation must produce testi- nonial of good character from his last instructor and when dmitted by the Principal must subscribe his name to eclaraticn that he will conform to all the rules and regula- ions which may from time to time be prescribed for the good overnment of the College under the sanction and authority the Council Special Certificate is required in the case of Pupils oming up from the School See School page 506 Except by the special permission of the Principal no one admitted Student of this Department under sixteen ears of age Special arrangements made for the superintendence the studies of Students preparing for the Matriculation and Examination of the University of London
