112 THEOLOGICAL DEPARTMENT XVIII JELF PRIZE FOR DOGMATIC THEOLOGY The Rev Shelford Rector of Stoke Newington formerly Theological Student and now Fellow of King's College gives an Annual Prize of the value of Ā£5 in Books as memorial to the late Jelf the Principal under whom the Theological Department was established This Prize is open to all Matriculated Students of the Theological Department who have been placed in the First Class in any Examination in Dogmatic Theology in the year preceding the Examination for the Prize The next Examination will be held on Saturday March 1888 in the treatise appointed as No in the subjects for the Preliminary Examination for 1888 viz Rufinus Commentarius in Symbolum apostolorum Questions will be put on the subject matter as well as on the text of this treatise Names of intending Candidates to be sent in to the Secretary of the College before o'clock on Saturday February 25 No Student can obtain this Prize more than once and no Prize will be given unless the Examiners are satisfied with the absolute merit of the papers of the highest Candidate Names of Prizemen 1878 Johnson Marcus Ernest William 1879 Woolley George Herbert 1880 Tiley George 1881 Farmer George 1883 Beddow John James 1884 Doveton Edward 1885 Le Couteur John Aaron 1886 Sharp John Bishop
