478 CIVIL SERVICE CLASSES result is made known but fees are not returned in any other circumstances The general Classes meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 45 and on Saturday evening at 30 but it is generally advantageous to attend at as there are short special Classes beginning at this hour and free to all students The Classes close at about 50 Students can attend on all three evenings fee for the course about twelve weeks £4 40 from the second admission £2 18 Or they can attend on Wednesdays and Saturdays only fee for the course £3 from the second admission £2 2א Or they can attend on Saturdays only fee for the course £1 16a from the second admission £1 65 Students with their whole time for preparation 8110111 attend three evenings Others are strongly recommended to attend two as it is impracticable at least until an advanced stage of preparation is reached to deal adequately with the entire scheme of examination in one If however they elect to attend one evening only every effort will be mado to prepare them in all the subjects The Class is divided into Sections Upon joining all Students including those who attend one evening only are examined and placed in the Section which will give them the help they need If placed in the Second Section they will be moved to the First immediately they are found qualified There is an Upper First Section for students well acquainted with the First Section course First Section students who have joined for three evenings attend the classes specially arranged for the Upper First Section besides those of their own Section Students who have the whole of their time for preparation are recommended also to attend Class on Thursdays where the collective instruction of the above class is supplemented by indicidual instruction This can be done by an additional payment of £2 2s for the whole couise or £1 for tliv second part of the course This Class is particularly re-
