MEDICAL DEPARTMENT 319 the Hospital except that of Physician's Assistant Physician-Accoucheur's Assistant it will be filled up yr the unexpired term by examination in the usual ay Out-Patient Medical Clerks -There shall be eighteen Out- atient Medical Clerks four for each Assistant-Physician- xcept in the case of the Assistant-Physician for Diseases of Vomen and Children who shall have six three of whom rill hold office for three months and the other three for the emaining three months They shall have diligently attended ix months' Medical Practice The examination shall be in he Anatomy of the viscera in Materia Medica and in the 3ractice of Medicine In the case of the Clerks to the Vssistant-Physician for the Diseases of Women and Children he Practice of Medicine required shall have relation chiefly ο these diseases The viva voce examination shall be chiefly η Anatomy The Clerks shall attend regularly at the re- pective hours and on the days of the Physician under whom hey are appointed They shall register and prescribe in turn or the Out-Patients under the direction of their respective 3hysicians The Clerks to the Assistant Physician for the Diseases of Women and Children shall when they have ecome instructed by attending lectures on Midwifery take art with the Assistant House Accoucheur and the Clerk the Physician for Diseases of Women and Children in ittending Midwifery cases In-Patient Medical Clinical Clerks -There shall be eight VIedical In-Patient Clinical Clerks Candidates must have erved the office of Out-Patient Clerk for the period of six nonths and have attended six months' In-Patient Medical Practice The viva voce examination shall be chiefly in Anatomy and Morbid Anatomy the written examination η Materia Medica and in the Practice of Medicine Can- lidates shall also if required take case or cases chosen the Physicians from patients in the house at the time of examination
