264 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT 27 Demonstrations on the Operations of Operative Surgery These are given by the Professor of Surgery and Mr Rose Course especially adapted for Candidates for the Public Services for Degrees in Surgery and for the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons may also be obtained Each pupil is provided with those parts of the subject which are necessary for doing the operations himself under the superintendence of the Demonstrator who will explain and illustrate the steps of each operation and the relative anatomy of the parts concerned Fee for the Course 61 6s without instruments if instru- ments are provided for the use of Students there will be an extra charge of Ten Shillings III museum Curator-J Groves Esq The Museums comprise Anatomy Human and Com- parative Healthy and Morbid Materia Medica Botany Chemistry Toxicology Mineralogy Geology and other branches of Natural Ilistorv also Collections of Dia- grams for illustrating the Lectures on these various subjects The Pathological Collection is very complete and includes large number of preparations which were presented by the late Dr Hooper and Green Esq and is being continually added to by the Professors old pupils and other friends of the College The collection of specimens illustrating the comparative anatomy of animals is extensive though still requiring many additions to make it complete type collection This is
