232 APPLIED SCIENCES Class Prizes and Certificates of Distinction and Merit are given for the several subjects in which Second-year Students are examined These Prizes and Certificates are open to all Matriculated Students of this Department who are at least in their fourth Term but who have not exceeded seven Terms either in this Department or in this Department and in that of General Literature taken together if fret Year Subject of Examination at the close of the Lent Term Geology Subjects of Examination at the end of Easter Term Mathematics Mechanics Physics Chemistry Manufacturing Art and Mech Engineering "Sambrooke" Exhibit Surveying and Civil En- gineering Mineralogy Drawing Workshop years see page 227 as well as Class Prizes and Certificates of Distinction and Merit are given for the several subjects in which First-year Students are examined These Prizes and Certificates will be open to all Matri- culated Students of this Department who are at least in their second Term but who have not exceeded four Terms either in this Department or in thisDepartmentand in that of General Literature taken together No Exhibition Prize or Certificate will be given except for absolute merit Certificates of having obtained College Prize made out under the signatures of the Principal and Secretary may be obtained by application at the College Office and on payment of 2s Qd for each Certificate
