APPLIED SCIENCES Occasional Students Occasional Students are required unless other special arrangements are made with the Superintendent to adhere as closely as possible to the course prescribed for Matri- culated Students The Fees are Per Term For Year Six days in the week from 10 to ן £ £ or from to or for any time 10 10 not exceeding 18 hours in the week Six davs from 10 to 15 15 -The shops close at on Saturday Evening Classes The Workshop is also open in the evening on payment of Special fees See page 447 REGULATIONS FOR STUDENTS No Student is allowed to wear the College Gown in the workshop or Coat with long skirts or loose sleeves or to work in shirt-sleeves withouttheir being turned up so as to be out of the way No Aprons may be worn by Students when using any of the Machines driven by steam-power II No Student is allowed under any circumstances to inter- fere with any of the Machines except the Machine with which he is actually engaged at work III No Student is allowed to interfere in any way with the Bell signals or to give the signal for starting or stopping the Engine unless requested to do so by the Superintendent oc Foreman or in case of an accident IV The regular signal for starting or stopping the Engine will be three distinct strokes of the Bell and whenever the signal is given for stopping the Engine all Machines must immediately be thrown out of gear The same signal will be given from the Engine Room always previous to starting or stopping the Engine
