GENERAL LITERATURE AND SCIENCE 155 III Must produce Certificate of proficiency in study as evinced by either Scholarship or two Prizes one Prize and two Certificates of Dis tinction one Prize and four Certificates of Merit such University or other distinctions gained after leaving King's College as shall be deemed sufficient by the Principal and Professors Must also obtain Certificate of competent know- ledge in at least three of the subjects taught in the Department of which subjects Classics or Mathe- matics shall be one Prize in the Lower Division or Divisions of any subject will be considered as only equivalent to Certificate of Distinction IV Must apply in writing to the Dean of the Department not later than June stating the claims and qualifications which he then possesses fee of £1 15 is charged for the Diploma VI Students of this Department who have obtained the Diploma of an Associate are in addition to the usual privi- leges of Associates see page 608 entitled to enter the Theological Department without examination See Theol Dep Section II Class page 107 VII An Associate cannot be elected Scholar or obtain Prize in the Department in which he gained his Associate- 8hip
