general literature and science 147 -French and German Lectures are given- In French on Monday and Thursday Senior Class from 30 to 30 Junior Class from 30 to 30 In German on Tuesday and Friday Senior Class from 30 to 30 Junior Class from 30 to 30 II Prizes of Books and Certificates of Distinction and Merit are given in each Division to such Students as in the opinion of the examiners are entitled to them III The Professor of German gives each year Prize to that Student who has most distinguished himself in German during the Academical Year by steady work and attention 10 -Ml ν er al Michaelmas and Lent Terms Saturday from 10 20 to 11 20 These Lectures will treat of the optical and chemical properties of minerals as well as of their form hardness weight lustre structure and composition The Course will include instruction in the use of the blow- pipe will be illustrated by very extensive collection of rocks and minerals and will be of practical character 11 -Geology Michaelmas Lent and Easter Terms Saturday from 11 30 to 12 30 This Course is given in order to instruct the Students in the principles of Geology Κ
