report 83 The following have been elected Fellows during the past year Henry Robinson Formerly Student now Professor of Surveying and Levelling Charles Macnamara Formerly Student afterwards Professor of Surgery in the Medical College of Calcutta now Surgeon to Westminster Hospital Richard St John Tyrrwhitt Formerly Student late Senior Student of Christ Church College Oxford William Bexham Formerly Student now Rector of St Edmund-the-King in the Cit3T of London and one of the six preachers of Canterbury Cathedral The Council have to record with the utmost regret the death of the late Lord Bishop of London and must express their deep sense of the loss which the College has thus sustained They will ever remember with respectful grati- tude the invaluable support guidance and counsel which was constantly afforded them by his Lordship In his capacity as Chairman his wisdom and kindness and his deep interest in the College were always conspicuous and his assiduous endeavours to promote its welfare have laid it under lasting obligations The Council have also to lament the death of two other valued members of their body Sir Charles Freake and Dr Currey To Sir Charles Freake the College is indebted for Exhibitions which were given by him for several years in the Departments of General Literature and Applied Sciences and in the School He was also very liberal supporter of the Ladies' Classes at Kensington By Dr Currey's death the College has lost one of its warmest friends and most experienced advisers He was very constant in his attendance at the Council and his genial wisdom will be sadly missed
