464 CIVIL SERVICE CLASSES First Section Students of the First and Second Sections attend not less than two evenings There is an Upper First Section for students well acquainted with the work of the First Section and these students have the option of attending at the usual fees on one two or three evenings First Section students who have joined for three evenings attend the classes specially arranged for the Upper First Section besides those of their own Section Students who have the whole of their time for preparation are recommended also to attend Class on Thursdays where the collecth instruction of the above class is supplemented by individual instruction This can be done by an additional payment of 25 for the whole course or 8s for the second part of the course This Class is particularly re- commended to those who are specially weak in Arithmetic and to those who have only short time for preparation The Secretary's office is always open for the receipt of fees from 10 till Snturdays 10 till and it is also kept open from till 45 on the opening day of each course and from till on the preceding day Intending students should if possible pay their fees before on the opening day Un less this is done they are liable to be late in entering the Class Rooms Students joining this class should at least be acquainted with Vulgar and Decimal Fractions Proportion and interest Those who are desirous of preparing for Man Clerkship and are not yet well acquainted with these Rules are recommended to attend Class or Class IV in the meantime Students who are too late for one course and wish to begin their preparation without waiting for the next are recom- mended in the meantime to attend Class which will afford them useful introduction to the work of the Men Clerks' Class The fee for Class will be charged according to the period for which the student joins at the rate of 48 66 per evening and the student will be able to attend on one or two evenings per week The subjects of examination for Men Clerkships and Second
