MEDICAL DEPARTMENT 317 Dental Surgeon's Assistants There shall be two ssistants the Dental Surgeon elected by examination in Dentistry om among those Pupils wrho shall have attended with gularity the Dental Practice of the Hospital These appointments are open to Students studying for the ental Diploma of the College of Surgeons as well as to atriculated Students They shall serve for Six Months shall attend regularly at le hours appointed and act under the direction of the urgeon Dentist In-Patient Dressers There shall be twelve In-Patient ressers four for each In Patient Surgeon and one for Mr ell's In Patients Candidates must have filled the office of ut-Patient Dresser and have attended six months' In-Patient linical practice In addition to the above -Patient Dressers Professor Vood appoints Senior Dresser from amongst his own ressers as reward for assiduity and skill The viva voce examination shall be principally in Anatomy he written one in Surgery having particular reference to the ature of In-Patient Surgery Candidates shall also it equired take case or cases chosen by the Surgeons from atients in the house at the time of examination In-Patient Dressers shall dress and register the cases admitted into the Hospital under the direction of the Jurgeon or House Surgeon In every surgical case upon which post-mortem exami- 1ation is held the Dresser under whose care the patient has een shall immediately after the holding of such examination urnish an abstract of the case to the Pathological Registrar Each Dresser shall also furnish the Registrar with an ibstract of every case under his care in which specimen is preserved for the purposes of the Museum Accident Dresser The following are the duties assigned to him The order of Attendance for Dressers to act as Accident
