MEDICAL DEPARTMENT 259 The Collection of Human Anatomy comprises large number of wet preparations models and casts presented by the late Dr Hooper and Green Esq and has been considerably enriched by additions from the several Professors friends and pupils of the College The Museum of Comparative Anatomy contains large lection of Osteological specimens and skeletons presented by the Messrs Bellamy of Plymouth and numerous dissections illustrating the chief points in their structure The Materia Medica and Chemical Collections are verv com- plete large assortment of drugs having been presented by the Worshipful Company of Apothecaries by the late Sir Ifalford Bart by Messrs Savory Moore and Messrs Howard The Collections of Mineralogy and Geology are extensive and contain examples of the different formations with selection of the most characteristic fossils belonging to each The Zoological Department includes Collections of Animals Birds Reptiles Fish Shells Insects Corals &c selected for the purpose of exhibiting the different forms existing in nature There are also two Cabinets of Shells collected by James Jamieson Corder Esq formerly student of the College and presented to the Museum by his brother Thomas Corder Esq in 873 Admission of Students The Anatomical Museum is open daily from 10 till to Medical Students only The Museums of Materia Medica Natural History &c are pen daily from 10 till to Medical Students and Students the Department of Applied Sciences Every facility however is afforded to those who wish to 'emain tor longer period in the Museums for the purpose study Students wishing to examine and handle any of the pre- rations must obtain an order for such permission which mist be signed by the Dean of the Department
