APFLIED SCIENCES 223 Pennant Bribes These Prizes have been founded by means of Legacy bequeathed to the College by the late James Tennant Esq Professor of Mineralogy They are of the annual value of about 15 together and are given in books or instruments One Prize is given for Geology in connexion with the examination in this subject at the end of the Easter term in each year It is open to all Second and Third Year Students of the Department of Applied Sciences and to such Evening Class Students as have attended this subject throughout the preceding academical year if under 22 years of age on the day fixed for the examination The other Prize is given for Practical Mineralogy as the result of the Summer Evening Examination in this subject it is open to all Eirst Year Students of the Department of Applied Sciences and to such Evening Class Students as have attended the Class of Mineralogy throughout the preceding academical year if under 22 years of age on the day fixed for the examination These Prizes are awarded only for absolute merits Prizemen Geology 1883 Atkinson Llewelyn Bii Festa Giulio irchall ceq 1884 Wordingham Charles Henry Anderson Robert Bruce 1885 Atkinson Claude William Practical Mineralogy 1883 Anderson Robert Bruce Farquhar William 1884 Atkinson Claude William 1885 Heathcote Charles Francis
