general literature and science 147 There is an Examination every year for all Students at the end of the xMichaelmas and Easter Terms At these Examina- tions the Students are classed according to their proficiency The Examination in July is followed by public Distribution of Prizes detailed Report is sent at the end of each term to the parents or guardians of each Student both as to his progress in particular studies and as to his general conduct during the Term Β Occasional Students or those who being unable to attend the whole course are desirous of studying any par- ticular subject Every class is open to them on payment of the specified fees See page 151 Occasional Students are unable to compete for theordi- nary prizes but may be recommended for special prize by the Professor The rule as to inability to compete for an ordinary prize will not apply to Matriculated Students of other Departments excepting the Evening Classes attending Classes in this Department Any Occasional Student will be allowed to attend the lectures on Religious Instruction without fee on application to the Principal VI limited number of Students are admitted to reside within the College see page 548 and some of the Professors as well as others connected with the College receive Students in their houses See page 553 VII Dinner is provided in the College Hall every day at Six o'clock for such Students as may wish to avail them- selves of this accommodation See page 554 VITI The General Library is open daily to all Students for the purposes of study See Regulations page 547 κ
