GENERAL LITERATURE AND SCIENCE 135 Matriculated Students are required to attend at least 1$ lectures during the week University of London -Arrangements are made for the superintendence of the studies of Students preparing for the Matriculation Intermediate Arts and Examinations Students are requested to confer with Professor Hudson Civil Service Appointments -As far as possible arrange- ments will be made for preparing Candidates for these Examinations Before entrance Students should consult the Dean of the Department Lectures on the higher branches of Literature Ancien and Modern will be given during the ensuing year from to on every 1y of Term but Saturday Details will be announced at the beginning of each Term The Fee for each subject will be One Guinea per Term SYLLABUS OF LECTURES -Religious Instruction All Matriculated Students must attend the Divinitv Lectures unless exempted by the Principal Lectures are delivered every Wednesday Afternoon during the Academical Year by the Principal and the Chap- lain The subject of the Principal Lectures is the Christian Creed and its Evidences The Chaplain will lecture on the Pastoral Epistles There are terminal examinations in the subjects treated in the Lectures Marks are given to the papers at these examination and the Students are classed at the close of each Term
