282 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT In 1885 and subsequent years the subjects of Examina- tion will be Divinity Latin and Greek English and History Mathematics French and German An equal number of marks being assigned to each of the five subjects Candidates may omit any subject except Divinity Any Candidate failing to obtain 50 marks in Divinity is thereby absolutely disqualified from further examination No Scholarship will be awarded to any Candidate who does not obtain an aggregate of at least 300 marks if the payment is to continue for three years and of 250 marks if the payment is for two years only These Scholarships may be held for three years or in the case of the Extra Scholarships for two years provided the Scholar continues so long attending Lectures in the Medical Department at King's College and provided he shall produce to the Council at the close of his First and Second Academical Year respectively Certificate signed by the Principal and the Dean of the Medical Department of good conduct of regular attendance on the Divinity and Medical or Preliminary Scientific Lectures and Examinations as well as on Clinical Lectures and Hospital Practice if his course be so far advanced and of satisfactory progress in his studies during the year then past The Scholarship will become void at the close of the Financial Year in which such Certificate is not obtained Every Warnet'ord Scholar of this Class is required to com- pete for the ordinary Medical Scholarship of his year and the Dean's Certificate of progress in Medical studies will be made dependent upon his getting an aggregate of one-half the marks assigned to the several papers in that examination
