medical department 249 The Examinations in Practical Chemistry held by Examiners appointed by the Council of the Institute includes the following subjects One Day Qualitative Analysis in which the Candidate's knowledge of the use of the Microscope and Spectroscope will be tested Two Days Quantitative Mineral Analysis including Volumetric Methods Two Consecutive Days Quantitative Organic Analysis including Gas Analysis Principles and Practice of Surgery This Course is illustrated by Preparations Models Casts and Drawings and by recent Specimens of the effects of surgical disease or injury general view is first given of the doctrines or principles of Surgery these are next applied in practical manner to the consideration of Injuries and Surgical Diseases of Textures and Regions The Course comprises series of Lectures on Surgical Anatomy and Operative Surgery The large collection of Diagrams and Casts presented to the College by Green Esq and Sir William Fergusson ψ Bart belongs to these Lectures 10 Practical Surgery The following Classes are now established Operative Surgery By Royes Bell Minor Surgery By Rose Demonstrations in Λττ ΛΧΤ η λτ -י י By Cheyne CM Surgical Pathology י Special instruction will be given in these Classes to Students preparing for the Pass Examination of the Royal College of Surgeons of England 11 Clinical Surgery Professor Wood will give one Clinical Lecture and one Bedside examination of the Class and Professor Lister two Clinical Lectures in each week
