461 THE SCHOOL Β jporcst JFountratton Founded in 1861 by Robert Forest Esq late of Montague Place Clapham Road who by his Will bequeathed after the decease of his Wife the sum of £3 000 Consols duty paid to the Governors and Proprietors of King College London "as fund for the specific purpose of providing Scholarships "for meritorious pupils educated at the School known as King's College School in connexion with the said College REGULATIONS One Scholarship is given each year of £30 per annum for three years and is payable in nine Terminal instalments This Scholarship is open to all Pupils who have been three complete Terms in the School immediately preceding the Term in which the Examination is held and who were under nineteen years of age on the 1st of July preceding the Election This Scholarship is awarded as the result of the Examination at the close of the Easter Term in the regular Classical work ot the School including Divinity and in passages from the Greek and Latin Classics -Pupils excused from attending Divinity are allowed to take up any other one of the regular subjects of examina- tion Notice of the selected subject must be given to the Head Master at the beginning of the Easter Term This Scholarship is tenable with an Inglis or Mathe- matical Scholarship No one can be elected to this Scholarship more than once Names of Scholars 1867 Buckmaster Charles John 1868 Gow James
