308 medical department Resident-Accoucheur who allots cases to them but preferen in allotment will be given to the Regular attendants It is the duty of the Regular attendants and in th absence or engagement of the Non-regular attendants to י immediately on being summoned to all cases of labo occurring during their respective period of office Eve Student will be held personally responsible lor every ca that has been consigned to him Every attendant must visit his patients for four co secutive days after delivery and continue his attendance frequently and as long as the urgency of the case mi require Every attendant must fill up the patients card ai deliver it to the Resident-Accoucheur within week aft labour When any deviation from normal labour or co valescence occurs concise report must be sent in to tl Resident-Accoucheur within fortnight after his cessation attendance In cases of labour lasting more than six hours ait rupture of the membranes in cases in which the pulse ris to 100 per minute in all cases of premature labour in cas in which the placenta is not expelled within half an hour aft delivery and in all cases of doubt or difficulty the attenda must communicate at once with the Resident-Accoucheur No attendant must use any obstetric instrument minister er ot of rve or chloroform or introduce his hai into the uterus without the sanction of the Residen Accoucheur With the view of preventing as much as possible tl risk of conveying septic disease every attendant 11111 provide himself with bottle containing in 20 solution carbolic acid with which he must wash his hands befo proceeding to labour He must also carry with him phial of carbolic acid for the purposes of lubrication 10 No attendant whether Regular or Non-regular Cfl dissect or frequent the post-mortem theatre
