302 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT Midwifery cases under the direction of the Physician-Ar coucheur or of the Assistant Physician-Accoucheur in the absence of the Physician-Accoucheur He shall apportion the cases see that efficient arrangement are made for due attendance upon them and accompany the Students to their first cases He shall require daily report from the Students in attend ance and shall himself visit and hold himself responsible for the proper attendance of all recently confined women win progress is not thoroughly satisfactory and shall report all such cases to the Physician and Assistant Physician- Accoucheur He shall keep an accurate account of the cases in the book supplied for the purpose shall send for the Physician Accoucheur or Assistant Physician-Accoucheur in all case requiring instrumental delivery and in all cases of difficulty and shall be held responsible for immediately reporting all cases of irregularity or neglect He shall keep record of such cases of interest in the Department for the Diseases of Women and Children as the Physician-Accoucheur may need He shall report to the Dean of the Medical Department by the 20th of March and the 20th of July respectively the attendance of Students on Midwifery cases Assistant House-Accoucheur -The subjects of the examine- tion for this office are the same as those required lor tin office of Physician-Accoucheur's Assistant He shall have served the office of In-Patient Clinical Clerk for the Phy sician for Diseases of Women and Children and Physician- Accoucheur or Out-Patient Clerk to the Assistant Physician for Diseases of Women and Children He shall unless specially exempted by the Committee 01 the Hospital reside in the Hospital No Student is eligible to enter on the duties of this office at period later than five years and half from the time 01 his Matriculation or year of standing see page 253 in the Medical Department
