MEDICAL DEPARTMENT 261 Vaccination -Arrangements have been made bv which udents may have Practical Instruction and Certificates in iccination by the payment of small fee Medical Chemistry and the Microscope -Special Instruction is ven in these subjects in the Wards of the Hospital and in Theatre bv the Physicians Resident Medical Officers Clinical Clerks and Dressers -The lysician's-Assistant Two House Surgeons and Physician- coucheur's Assistant the Assistant Officers Clinical Clerks Dressers are all chosen by examination and without any tra fees from those Matriculated Students who are pupils of Hospital Students are thus constantly engaged in the actical work of the Hospital Those gentlemen who are elected to the Resident appoint- ents at the Hospital have Rooms and Commons free Registrars -A permanent record of every case received into Wards of King's College Hospital is kept by the Sam- ooke Medical and Surgical Registrars XV THE assoc1ateship At the end of each Winter Session the Medical Board lay fore the Council the names of those Medical Students horn they recommend to be elected Associates of King's allege London on account of general good conduct and gnlar attendance upon Lectures including Divinity except the case of Foreigners who may apply to the Principal exemption Examinations and Hospital Practice For the attainment of this distinction 11 Candidates Must have studied four years at King's College of hree Winter and Two Summer Sessions at King's College afterwards have obtained the Diploma or Licence of me recognised examining body
