176 applied sciences 13 Metallurgy see page 195 Huntington Professor McMillan Demonstrator 14 The Workshop see page 197 Walker Superintendent II SYLLABUS OF LECTURES Divinity Lectures are delivered by the Principal every Thursday generally on the Bible or Prayer Book There are termi- nal examinations in the lectures and occasional examinations in Text-books chosen by the Principal Marks are given to the papers at these examinations according to merit and the students are classed at the close of each Term On the last day of the academical year prizes are adjudged to the best Students in each year No Student can gain prize more than twice Any Student meriting prize third time will receive Certificate of Honor Pure Mathematics Hours of attendance ί Monday Wednesday Thursday 10 20 to irst ear UA and Xuesday 145 t0 Second Year 7' Thur8da and Jjriday 11 45 to Third Year Tuesday 10 20 to 11 40 Wednesday Thursday and Friday 11 45 to Occasional Students can attend either or both of these courses every day from 10 20 to Saturday excepted The subjects for the First Year are Euclid II ΠΙ IV VI XL 1-21 Arithmetic Algebra and Plane Trigonometry and Mensuration For the Second Year Conic Sections and the Elements of the Differential and Integral Calculus
