142 GENERAL LITERATURE AND SCIENCE -French and German Lectures are riven In French on Monday and Thursday Senior Class from 15 to 15 Junior Class from 15 to 15 In German on Tuesday and Friday Senior Class from 15 to 15 Junior Class from 15 to 15 II At the examination in June Prize of Books and Certificate of Honour are subject to the conditions contained in Rule for Prizes in Classical Literature given to the first and second Students respectively in the First Division of each of these subjects and Prize and Certificate of Merit to the first and second Students respectively in the Second Division III The Professor of German gives each year Prize to that Student who has most distinguished himself in German during the Academical Year by steady work and attention 10 -Mineralogy Michaelmas and Lent Terms Saturday from 10 20 to 11 20 These Lectures will treat of the optical and chemical properties of minerals as well as of their form hardnesp weight lustre structure and composition The Course will include instruction in the use of the blow- pipe will be illustrated by very extensive collection of rocke and minerals and will be of practical character 11 -Geology Michaelmas Lent and Easter Terms Saturday from 11 30 to 12 30 This Course is given in order to instruct the Students in the principles of Geology
