THE SCHOOL 48 VI One for English Given by the Council Subjects English Grammar Prose Composition '3 portion of one specified English Author VII One for Mathematics Given by the Head Ma3ter This Prize is awarded to the boy in the highest Mathe- matical Form of the Middle School who passes first in the Mathematical Examination at Midsummer XIX TERMINAL PRIZES FOR FORM WORK One Prize is awarded every Term to the first Boy in each Form in the three Divisions of the School Classical Modern and Lower These Prizes which are awarded not for merit in indi- vidual subjects but for good conduct and general proficiency in all the subjects taught in the Form exclusive of German French Science and Mathematics are given at the Terminal distributions No boy can obtain Prize twice in the same Form except in the Upper Sixth and in the Upper Sixth not twice in the same Academical Year FOR MATHEMATICS AND ARITHMETIC Prizes are awarded every Term to the first boy in each Mathematical Form in the School No boy can obtain the same Mathematical Prize twice in the same Academical Year No boy can compete for the same Prize which he has gained before Η Η
