320 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT the Second Examination may at any subsequent Ex- amination present himself for Logic and Psychology alone if he so prefer thereby gaining exemption if he should pass from examination in that subject when he presents himself to be examined for the Degree of Master in Surgery Surgery The most distinguished Candidate in Surgery at this Examination receives Gold Medal of £20 value Doctor of Medicine The Examination takes place on the first Monday in December each year Fee £5 Certificates are required of having-1 Taken the Degree of Bachelor of Medicine in this University Of having subsequently attended to Clinical or Practical Medicine during two years in recognised Hospital or Medical Institution or to Clinical or Practical Medicine during one year in arecog- nised Hospital or Medical Institution and of having practised his profession during three years or of having been engaged during five years in the practice of his profession either before or after taking the degree of Bachelor of Medicine in this University One year of attendance on Clinical or Prac- tical Medicine or two years of Practice will be dispensed with in the case of those who at the second Examination have been placed in the First Division Of Moral Character signed by two persons of respectability Candidates shall be examined in the following subjects Logic and Psy- chology Any Candidate who has already taken the Degree of in this University or of or of Sc provided that Mental and Moral Science was one branch of his examination is exempted from this part of the Examination And any Candidate who has passed the Second Μ Β Examina- tion may at any subsequent Examination present himself for Logic and Psychology alone if he so prefer thereby gaining exemption if he should pass from Examination in that subject when he presents himself to be examined for the Degree of Doctor of Medicine Medicine The most distinguished Candidate in Medicine receives Gold Medal of £20 value 11 royal college of physicians of london By-Laws relating to Licentiates Section Every Candidate for the College Licence except when otherwise provided by the By-laws who shall commence Professional Study after the 25th day of March 1880 will be required at the times prescribed in Section IL for the respective Examinations to produce satisfactory evidence Of having passed before the commencement of Professional Study one of the Preliminary Examinations on subjects of General Education recognized by the General Medical Council See Regulations of the General Medical Council to be obtained of the Registrar 299 Oxford Street London
