318 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT during two winter sessions attended course of Practical Chemistry attended to Practical Pharmacy and of having acquired practical knowledge of the Preparation of Medicines attended δ course of Lectures on each of three of the subjects in the annexed List -Descriptive and Surgical Anatomy Physio- logy and Histology Pathological Anatomy Materia Medica and Pharmacy General Pathology General Therapeutics Forensic Medicine Hygiene Obstetric Medicine and Diseases of Women and Infants Surgery Medicine The subjects for Examination are Anatomy Histology and Physiology Organic Chemistry Materia Medica and Pharmaceutical Chemistry Any Candidate who has passed the Intermediate Examination in Medicine may be examined for Honours in any or all of the following subjects Anatomy י Physiology and Histology Organic Chemistry Materia Medica and Pharmaceutical Chemistry An Exhibition of £40 per annum for two years is given in the first two subjects and of £30 for two years in the other two and gold medals are given in each subject Sec071d Examination This Examination takes place on the first Monday in November each year Pee £5 י tr Certificates are required of having passed the Intermediate Examination ו η Medicine not less than two academical years before and having subsequently attended course of Lectures on two of the subjects named in the Intermediate Examination in Medicine and for which the Candidate had not presented Certificates at that Examination conducted at least twenty Labours attended the Surgical Practice of recognised Hospital or Hospitals during two years with Clinical Instruction and Lectures on Clinical Surgery attended the Medical Practice of recognised Hospital or Hospitals during two years with Clinical Instruction and Lectures on Clinical Medicine of having acquired proficiency in Vaccination and after having attended Surgical and Medical Hospital Practice for at least twelve months subsequently to passing the Intermediate Examination in Medicine having attended to Practical Medicine Surgery or Obstetric Medicine with special charge of patients in Hospital Infirmary Dispensary or Parochial Union during six months such attendance not to be counted as part of either the Surgical or the Medical Hospital Practice mentioned above Certificate of Moral Character is likewise required -The Student's attendance on the Surgical and on the Medical Hospital Practice may commence at any date after his passing the Preliminary Scientific Examination and may be comprised either within the same or within different years provided that in every case his attendance on Surgicaj and Medical Hospital Practice be continued for at least eighteen months sub- sequently to his passing the Intermediate Examination in Medicine Attendance during Three Months in the Wards of Lunatic Asylum recognised by the University with Clinical Instruction may be substituted for like period of attendance on Medical Hospital Practice Candidates will be examined in General Pathology General Therapeutics and Hygiene Surgery Medicine Obstetric Medicine Forensic Medicine and
