annual report 69 Edward Arber Formerly Student now Assistant Professor of English Literature at University College London Thomas Buzzard Formerly Student now Physician to the National Hospital for Epilepsy and Paralysis The distinguished name of Professor Thomas Eymer Jones has disappeared from the same list The Council have gladly sanctioned the desire expressed by his family to erect monument to his memory in the College Chapel In looking back at this time not only on the past year but on the half century which has now elapsed since the beginning of the work of the College the Council believe that the Court will with them feel deep thankfulness to God for the blessing which has so largely attended this work will at the same time remember with gratitude the labour which has been earnestly and successfully devoted for the College by generations past and present of workers in the good cause and will finally trace in the results thus granted to these exertions an indication of the soundness of the principles on which the College has always been conducted and an augury of hope for the prosperous working of days to come
