THE SCHOOL 449 1874 Fenner George Hamilton Smith Gordon 1875 Moberly Henry 1876 Matthews George Frederic1 1877 Tyer Walter Edward 1878 Otton George Walker 1879 Billett Frederick 1880 Fuller Harry Howard 1881 Swainson Arthur Lake xaltErs1 2ttnibersttp Exhibition Founded by the Salters' Company of London and to be continued during the pleasure of the Court The Exhibition is of the value of £80 per annum and is tenable for four years It will be awarded in accordance with the results of an examination in Physical Geography Geology and Natural Science Mechanical Division as stated in the regulations of the Oxford and Cambridge Schools Examination The next award will be made in July 1884 Candidates must not exceed nineteen years of age on July 15 of the year in which the Examination takes place and must have been at least three academical years in the School If in the Examination the son of Freeman of the Salters' Company shall be found of equal merit with any other Candidate such son of Freeman shall have the preference Each Exhibitioner must matriculate within twelve months after the award at Oxford Cambridge London or Durham and failing his so doing the Exhibition will be forfeited and again thrown open to competition Payment of the half-year's Exhibition due will be made on application at the Clerk's office any day after the 8th £ January and 8th of July in each year
