THE SCHOOL 433 Periodical Examinations of the Class are conducted under the direction of the Head Master All successful candidates who pass in Honours receive special prize at the Public Distribution at Christmas III Indian Civil Service Cooper's Hill Woolwich and Sandhurst Competitive and Qualifying Examinations Special provision is made for boys desiring to pass any of the following Examinations Indian Civil Service Woolwich Sandhurst Medical Legal Home Civil Service Such boys are allowed with the permission of the Head Master to concentrate all their work during School hours on the subjects which they are required or propose to offer for these examinations supplementing this with special in- struction" in such subjects according to the arrangements etated below No boy while member of the School can present himself for any of the above Examinations without the written permission of the Head Master which will only be granted to those who appear likely to acquit themselves in satis- factory manner All boys are expected to supply at their own cost any books which may be required for these Examinations over and above those provided in the School IV Commercial Class Special Class has also been formed for the preparation during School hours of boys requiring instruction in Book- keeping and Commercial Arithmetic Ε Ε
