CIVIL SERVICE CLASSES 407 Fees for two lessons per week £2 128 6d for six weeks or £4 14s 6d for twelve weeks Students whose time and scheme of work are limited can take one lesson per week for £1 15s for six weeks or £3 3s for twelve weeks Students preparing for or attending other classes in the Civil Service Department can join for six lessons attending once or twice week for £1 7s Inquiries respecting this class should be addressed to Mr Wood Caen Terrace Hampstead Lane Highgate II MEN CLERKSHIPS' IN the lower division of the civil service SECOND CLASS CLERKSHIPS INDIA OFFICE and SECOND CLASS CLERKSHIPS AT CUSTOMS OUTPORTS MR BRAGINTON and mr HINKS Each course of preparation begins three or four weeks after the preceding Men Clerks' examination and lasts until the following Men Clerks' examination Men Clerks7 examinations are held every three months in February May August November and one or more appointments in the India Office are generally offered for competition at the same time Fees for the course of nine or ten weeks £2 6s for the last six weeks £1 15s Students joining at the beginning of the course and proving successful in the previous competition will have returned to them the portion of their fee unexpired when the result is made known The subjects of examination for Men Clerkships Second Class Clerkships in the India Office and Outport Clerkships are the same Handwriting highest marks attainable 400 Orthography 400 Arithmetic 400 Copying MS to test
