358 evening classes 37 SHORTHAND Day and Hour of attendance -Wednesday from to Elementary Class from to Advanced Class from to This Class is intended to impart thorough knowledge of Shorthand to the extent of ready corresponding and ver- batim reporting The system taught is Phonography' which is based upon the principles of representing spoken sounds by specific signs and like sounds by like signs practical knowledge of this system is easily and rapidly acquired The Class Books are the Phonographic Teachery Manual and Reporter's Companion 38 ADDITIONAL SUBJECTS If any number of Gentlemen not less than Ten shall wish for instruction in any other subject arrangements will he made if possible to meet their wishes Fees and Regulations as to Admission The following are the Fees for the Winter Session For any single Course £1 Ws Qd with the ex- ception of Divinity Practical Chemistry Applied Physics and Practical Metallurgy The ff Divinity מ Class is free to all Students attending any other Class aiad 10s 6c each when no other class is attended For Practical Chemistry Applied Physics and Practical Metallurgy £2 25 each Every Non-Matriculated Student also pays 39 in the Winter Session towards the expenses of keeping up the College Library For any four Classes £5 55 for five Classes £6 lis 3c with 105 6c extra in each case if Practical Chemistry Applied Physics or Practical Metallurgy are included After Christmas the Fee is £1 15 for one Class except in the case of Practical Chemistry Applied
