MEDICAL DEPARTMENT 315 until the date of the Examination in which case written appli- cation must be sent by him in lieu of the certificates such certificates to be produced the day before the Examination Candidate having entered his name for either the Primary or Pass Examination who shall fail to attend will not'be allowed to present himself for examination within the period of three months from the date at which he shall have so failed to attend Candidate referred on the Primary Examination is required prior to his admission to re-examination to produce Certificate of the per- formance of dissections during not less than three months subse- quently ο the date of his reference Candidate referred upon the Primary Examination who shall not obtain more than half of the total minimum number of marks is not re-admitted to examination until after the elapse of six months and is then required to produce in conformity with the foregoing para- graph Certificate of the performance of dissections during not less than three months subsequently to the date of his reference Candidate referred on the Pass Examination is required prior to his admission to re-examination to produce Certificate of at least six months' further attendance on the Surgical Practice of recognised Hospital together with Lectures on Clinical Surgery subsequently to the date of his reference The fee of Five Guineas paid prior to the first admission to the primary Examination is retained whether the Candidate pass or fail to pass the Examination but is allowed as part of the whole fee of Twenty- two Pounds payable for the Diploma Candidate after failure at any Primary Examination is required on admission to any subse- quent Primary Examination to pay further fee of Three Guineas which is retained whether he pass or fail to pass the Examination and which further fee is not allowed as part of the whole fee of Twenty- two Pounds for the Diploma 10 The fee of Sixteen Pounds Fifteen Shillings is payable prior to each admission to the Pass Examination but on each occasion of failure the balance of Eleven Pounds Ten Shillings is returned to the Candidate IV society op apothecaries Every Candidate for Certificate of Qualification to practise as an Apothecary will be required to produce Testimonials- Of having passed preliminary examination in Arts recognised by the Medical Council This examination must be passed before the commencement of Professional Studies This sum of Twenty-two Pounds is exclusive of the fee Two Pounds paid for the Preliminary Examination
