MEDICAL DEPARTMENT XXI OTltntcal OTlerks Brcssfrs 1bnitwtfz assistant ouse burgeons $a GENERAL RULES All appointments to these offices are made by the Council of King's College London upon the recommendation of the Medical Officers of the Hospital The examinations take place at the College Examinations of candidates to fill these offices will be held on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday October 10 11 and 12 1881 and on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday March and 1882 The appointments severally take effect from the lst November and the lst May following None but Matriculated Students are allowed to become candidates for any of these appointments except for the Dental Surgeons' Assistants No Student shall under any circumstances be admitted as candidate for any of these offices whosecharacterand conduct shall not have been approved by the Principal Student sending in his name as candidate for any office thereby signifies his willingness and intention if elected to discharge in person the duties of that office for the entire period of six months Candidates must give in their names to the Dean of the Medical Department at least seven clear days before the exami- nation No Student shall be permitted to hold two offices at the Hospital at the same time No Student shall be allowed to fill the office of Clinical Clerk or Dresser to Physician or Surgeon to In-patients unless he shall have previously passed the Primary Exami- nation at the Roval College of Surgeons The Examination shall be conducted on the first and second days by viva voce questioning and on the third day by written papers
