MEDICAL DEPARTMENT 265 or occupy themselves in any public duty in or out of the College or Hospital except with the consent of the Council III £50 year if the amount of interest be sufficient or if less than this sum be received by the College then half the sum received will be paid to each Registrar IV Each appointment is to be made for period of one year the holder to be eligible for re-election to the same appointment for another year No one is to be appointed Registrar under the age 01 twenty-one years or above the age of twenty-eight VI Every Candidate must have held For the office of Medical Registrar one of the following appointments viz Physician's Assistant or Assistant House- Physician or Physician-Accoucheur's Assistant For the office of Surgical Registrar one of the following appointments viz House Surgeon or Assistant House-Sur- geon And must produce certificates from the Committee of the Hospital of good conduct and from the Dean of the Medical Department of having satisfactorily performed his duties whilst holding any of the above appointments VII No one is to be re-elected to second year of office unless the Committee of the Hospital shall certify to his good conduct in the Hospital during his past year of service and the Dean of the Medical Department to the proper discharge of his duties during the same period VIII The Registrars are to attend daily at the Hospital and are to enter their names on the attendance sheet of the Medical and Surgical Staff in the Board Room IX In addition to the usual short Abstract of every Hos pital Case recorded each Registrar is to record at the least during each year of his service Ten Medical or Ten Surgical Cases of an important character severally noted and prepared for publication together with reports of post-mortem Exami-
