MEDICAL DEPARTMENT 245 Vaccination -Arrangements have been made by which Students may have Practical Instruction ancf Certificates in Vaccination by the payment of small fee ×™ Medical Chemistry and the Microscope -Special Instruction is iven in these subjects in the Wards of the Hospital and in he Theatre by the Physicians Resident Medical Officers Clinical Clerks and Dressers -The Physician's-Assistant Two House Surgeons and Physician- Accoucheur's Assistant the Assistant Officers Clinical Clerks nd Dressers are all chosen by examination from those Matriculated Students who are pupils of the Hospital Stu- dents are thus constantly engaged in the practical work of the Hospital Those gentlemen who are elected to the Resident appoint- rnents at the Hospital have Rooms and Commons free Registrars -A permanent record of every case received into he Wards of King's College Hospital is kept by the Sam- brooke Medical and Surgical Registrars XV THE ASSOCIATESHIP At the end of each Winter Session the Medical Board lay before the Council the names of those Medical Students whom they recommend to be elected Associates of King's College London on account of general good conduct and regular attendance upon Lectures including Divinity except in the case of Foreigners who may apply to the Principal for exemption Examinations and Hospital Practice For the attainment of this distinction All Candidates Must have studied four years at King's College or Three Winter and Two Summer Sessions at King's College and afterwards have obtained the Diploma or Licence of some recognised examining body
