APPLIED SCIENCES 189 tudent from the College This notice must be given before he close of the first half of the Term in which Student is leave and if not so given the payments of Half Term's ees will be required In 1881-82 the Half-terms will end on November 'ebruary 20 and May 26 The Students received into this Department are- Matriculated Students or those admitted to the egular and full prescribed course of study Each Candidate for Matriculation must produce testi- 10nial of good character from his last instructor and hen admitted by the Principal he must subscribe his name declaration that he will conform to all the rules and 3gulations which may from time to time be prescribed 3r the good government of the College under the sanction nd authority of the Council Special Certificate is required in the case of Pupils יי φ vJ oming up from the School See School page 443 Except by the special permission of the Principal no one ל admitted Student of this Department under sixteen years age The full course of study wrhich each Student is recom- nended to pursue extends over three Academical years The ear consists of Three Terms viz Michaelmas Term from he beginning of October to the week before Christmas Lent "erm from the middle of January to the week before Easter aster Term from Easter to the beginning of July Opportunities are given to Matriculated Students to vary rithin certain limits the work of this Department on request their parents or guardians Pupils wrho have passed two years in King's College School or in one of the Schools in Union have attained he age of sixteen and have speut at least one Term η the highest class of such School before leaving it and η the case of Schools in Union have passed with distinc- ion the Examination held at the time of their joining
