66 annual report The Council are glad to report that the Worshipful Company of Salters have been pleased to found an Exhibition of the value of 80Z per annum tenable for four years at Oxford Cambridge London or Durham and to be awarded to the boy who passes the best Examination at the annual Examination of the Oxford and Cambridge Board in July in Physical Geography Geology and Natural Science This Scholarship will prove great boon to the School and the best thanks of the Council are due to the Master and Wardens of the Salters' Company The Council have to add that they have had the pleasure of receiving from the Principal and Head Master most satis- factory reports of the work and discipline of the College and School and feel that hearty acknowledgment is due to the Staff for the ability and energy with which the teaching is conducted m-- II In relation to the second part of their Report the Council are glad to be able to make to the Court several an- nouncements of considerable importance to the welfare of the College The extension of the buildings reported last year has now been brought into use and appropriated to the Theological Department and to the Art School The new rooms are excellent and supply needs which have been long felt rearrangement of the old rooms has enabled the Council better to concentrate the work of the Physical Lecture Room and Laboratory to improve the Medical Library and provide room for the Dean and to add to the accommodation pio- vided for the School In order still further to meet the needs caused by the increased numbers of the School two additional Class-rooms are now in course of erection and will it is hoped be completed in the summer of this year The City and Guilds of London Institute in carrying out their great object-the improvement of Technical Education -have been pleased to place at the disposal of the Council during the pleasure of the Institute sum of 400 per annum
