EVENING CLASSES 363 In any Second Class only four-fifths of the marks gained will be reckoned in any Third Class only three- fifths and in any Fourth Class only two-fifths In Classes below the Fourth no marks will be reckoned Names of Prizemen 1869- 70 Ricks George 1870- Palmer George 1871- Wilson Robert 1872- Townend Edward 1873- McRae Charles 1874- Compigne Charles 1875- Carless Thomas James 1876- Craighead Robert William 1877- Tomlin Charles Edward 1878- Carr Herbert Wildon 1879- 80 Etheridge Reginald Dimsdale Clarke Thomas Richard Lake Arthur Frederick "Manuel" Prize Prize of Ā£5 5s in Books will be given at the close of the next four Winter Sessions by Robert Manuel Esq to the Student who gains the highest aggregate marks in Commerce Geography and any one Modern Foreign Language taught in the Evening Classes No prize will be given for less aggregate than 225 marks nor to any one whose Schedule of attendance is not returned properly signed to the Librarian before the last day of the Winter Session In counting the marks for these prizes the following rule will be observed in cases where there is more than one division of subject In any Second Class only four-fifths of the marks gained will be reckoned in any Third Class only three- fifths and in any Fourth Class only two-fifths In Classes below the Fourth no marks will be reckoned
