g2 ANNUAL REPORT Carr Η Gilliat Howell Kerby Η Medd Stone Tremellen Taylor Preliminary Law Examination London and County Bank Appointment by Examination Warren Α Η Union Bank of Scotland Cheswright Home Civil Service At the Oxford and Cambridge Examination 32 boys offered themselves as Candidates for Certificates and of these 22 were successful in obtaining them This result places King's College School very high in the List of all the Schools in England which sent in candidates for the certificates Eton standing first Harrow second Marlborough third and King's College School fourth Of the 22 boys thus successful obtained distinction in Divinity in Greek in French in Mathematics in English in History The Matriculation Class though somewhat smaller than last year has been quite as successful and the average number of those who have passed this searching examination bears favourable comparison with that of any previous years During the year several changes have been made in the Staff of the School The Eev Reynell resigned his Mastership at the close of last summer term to take the charge of the New Choir School established at King's College Cambridge Mr Willcocks also resigned about the same time with view to practising at the Bar In con- sequence of the vacancies thus created several of the Staff were promoted to higher forms while Mr Wotherspoon of Trinity College Oxford and Mr Fox of Corpus Christi College Cambridge have been appointed to Master- ships in the Lower School
