the school 407 except after written application and the council strongly object to such applications being made except under circumstances of unusual importance or of necessity 10 Every boy receiving such an Exeat is expected to bring it on his return to the Head Master in order that it may be duly filed 11 Letters addressed to boys in the School are recorded on Slate kept by the Gate-keeper and application must be made to him for them Should it be very important that boy should receive letter immediately or during School it must be sent under cover to the Head Master and marked Immediate 12 In the case of boy recovering from contagious disease medical certificate must be sent to the Head Master before the day on which it is proposed to send him back on receipt of which the Head Master will authorise his return 13 Boys are required to attend the School till the Vaca- tions commence and to return punctually when they close nor can this Rule be relaxed except in cases of unavoidable NECESSITY 14 All Lessons are intended to be carefully prepared at home and boys are expected to give to this preparation two or three hours every evening according to their position in the School 15 For every Lesson duly prepared boy receives cer- tain number of marks from the Master of his class which are duly recorded in Mark-book 16 boy whose work merits special approval is entitled to be sent up to the Head Master and receive from him printed card recording the fact and authorising him to receive certain number of extra marks These cards are expected to be taken home by the boy to his Parent or Guardian for their counter signature 17 Neglect of work infringement of School Rules or
