295 lEbent'ng lasses WINTER COURSE 1879-80 Dean of the Department for 1879 Rev Wiltshire Classes for Evening Instruction are held at King's Col- lege during the months from October to March inclusive II The Course for 1879-80 will commence on Monday October and terminate on Wednesday March 24 the last fortnight being devoted to examinations III On Friday October at there will be an opening Lecture in the larire Hall of the College by Professor Seeley on "Tbe Influence of Geographical Phenomena upon European Civilisation IV On Sunday October at there will be special opening Service for Eveuing Class Students and their friends in the Chapel of the College The Sermon will be preached by the Rev Henry Wace Professor of Ecclesiastical History King's College London The second half of the W'inter Session will begin on Monday January 19 1880 II Vacations There will be Vacation at Christmas commencing from Friday December 19 Ascension Day Whit Monday the Queen's Birthday and the Prince of Wales's Birthday are kept as Holidays
