262 medical department He shall apportion the cases see that efficient arrangements are made for due attendance upon them and accompany the Students to their first cases He shall require daily report from the Students in attend- ance and shall himself visit and hold himself responsible for the proper attendance of all recently confined women whose progress is not thoroughly satisfactory and shall report all such cases to the Physician and Assistant Physician- Accoucheur He shall keep an accurate account of the cases in the books supplied for the purpose shall send for the Physician- Accoucheur or Assistant Physician-Accoucheur in all cases requiring instrumental delivery and in all cases of difficulty and shall be held responsible for immediately reporting all cases of irregularity or neglect He shall keep record of such cases of interest in the Department for the Diseases of Women and Children as the Physician-Accoucheur may need He shall report to the Dean of the Medical Department by the 20th of March and the 20th of July respectively the attendance of Students on Midwifery cases Assistant House-Accoucheur -The subjects of the examina- tion for this office are the same as those required lor the office of Physician-Accoucheur's Assistant He shall have served the office of In-Patient Clinical Clerk for the Phy- sician for Diseases of Women and Children and Physician- Accoucheur or Out-Patient Clerk to the Assistant Physician for Diseases of Women and Children for period of six months He shall unless specially exempted by the Committee of the Hospital reside in the Hospital and shall before entering on his office pay the sum of 30Λ for his board Students are not eligible for examination for this office period later than five years and half from the time of their Matriculation in the Medical Department Candidates may be admitted to examination for this office before they have obtained their diplomas to practice medicine
