MEDICAL DEPARTMENT 217 according to their year of study in accordance with the regulations of the Examining Bodies Provided they take the whole of the remainder of their education at the College pay the full amount of lees required for per- petual admission to the Hospital attend Lectures at the College on all the subjects in which they will be examined otherwise conform to the regulations laid down in each case respectively-they will be eligible to compete lor the Second Year and Senior Scholarships for the VVarneford Leathes Jelf Todd and Tanner Prizes and for all Hospital appointments Those of them who have already held Out- patients' appointments as Clinical Clerks and Dressers for periods of six months at recognized Hospital or Medical School will not be required to serve similar offices at King's College Hospital but will be allowed to compete at once for Iu pat1ent Clerkships and Dresserships Each Candidate for Matriculation must produce testi- monial of good moral character and when admitted by the Principal must subscribe his name to Declaration that he will conform to all such Rules and Regulations as may from time to time be made for the good government of the College under the sanction aud authority of the Council II Occasional Students or those who enter to one or more particular Classes Every Class is open to such Students on payment of the prescribed amount of fees see page 223 They have the privilege of competing for Class Prizes and Certificates The regular Course of Instruction in this Department occu- pies either three or four years according to particular circum- stances See Section IX The year is divided into two Sessions The Winter Session beginning October 1st terminates at the end of March The Summer Session beginning May 1st terminates at the end of July
