GENERAL LITERATURE AND SCIENCE 109 10 -Geology Michaelmas Lent and Easter Term Saturday from 11 30 to 12 30 This Course is given in order to instruct the Students in the principles of Geology In the Michaelmas Term the Lectures will have reference to Dynamical Geology in the Lent Term to Palaeontology and in the Easter Term to Stratigraphical Geology There will be Field Lecture in the Easter Term The Course will be illustrated by diagrams and specimens 11 -Drawing On Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday from 15 to 15 Students wishing to attend Junior French or German may obtain by special application to tbe Professor leave to attend Drawing from 15 or 15 They can attend Freehand and Model or Geometrical Drawing for hours in the week or both classes for hours each Geometrical Drawing -See page 155 Model Drawing from geometric forms without instruments also from casts of ornament in relief natural objects the human figure the antique in pencil crayon and mono- chrome Landscape Drawing -Sketching and painting from copies in pencil sepia water colour and oil Drawing and Painting from Nature -Flowers and other natural objects still life &c as groups for composition in crayon monochrome water colour and oil colour and as studies of colour 12 -Logic and Metaphysics Logic on Wednesdays at Text Book Jevons' Elementary Lessons in Logic Metaphysics on Wednesdays at Text Book Mansel's Metaphysics
