106 general literature and science Prizes and Certificates At the examination which takes place at the close of the Easter Term Prize of Books is given to the First in the order of the Examination in each Division Certificates of Honour and Certificates of Approval are given to such Students as in the opinion of the Examiners are entitled to them No Prize or Certificate is given except for absolute merit nor to any Student who has not entered at least upon his Second Term -Mathematics Pure and Applied Lectures daily Saturday excepted from 10 20 to 11 40 J1 11 45 to The subjects of these Lectures are Euclid Algebra Plane and Spherical Trigonometry Conic Sections Algebraic Geo- metry the Differential and Integral Calculus Mechanics Hydrostatics and Newton's Principia Sect II III The Students of each year are divided into four Divisions according to their proficiency and in these Divisions they are arranged in order of merit at each Examination Prizes and Certipicates -At the examination which takes place at the close of the Easter Term Prizes and Certi- ficates are given under the same rules as are laid down under the head of Classical Literature -Physics Mechanics For Junior Students the Classes meet at 11 45 on Mondays Wednesdays Thursdays and Fridays II For Senior Students the Classes meet at 10 20 on Mondays Wednesdays and Thursdays and again at on Thursdays
