CI ANNUAL REPORT first technical Examination for the degree of the University of London the Class is naturally small It is at present composed solely of boys who have passed success- fully the Matriculation Examination and enables them to combine attendance at some of the College Lectures with the supervision and discipline of the School The Matriculation Class has been quite as successful as in previous years and now numbers upwards of 19 boys The way in which they acquit themselves in this very searching Examination extending over such variety of subjects is apparent from the List of Distinctions obtained during the past year given above The Bishop of London held his Annual Confirmation in the Chapel last March when upwards of 120 Candidates were presented by the Head Master The Special Services held once every Term have been uniformly well attended both by boys and parents and the offertories obtained for the Children's Ward at the Hospital have been considerable The general discipline of the College and School is reported by the Principal and the Head Master as unusually good during the past year The Council cannot conclude this part of their Report which they trust will be highly satisfactory to the Court without expressing their sincere acknowledgment for the valuable service rendered by the Heads and the Academical Staff both of the College and of the School II -In turning to the second part of their Report the Council think that they may congratulate the Court on its unusual brevity as arguing the quiet and regular pro- gress of the College in the various branches of its important work They have only to record with great pleasure the successful completion of the establishment of Convalescent Home in connexion with the Hospital sum of more than Ā£5 000 has been raised by subscription-a large portion of which
