404 THE SCHOOL Upon entrance tbe Fees for tbe first Term must be paid in advance together with the sum of 21 I3t 6d for Entrance Fees All Fees are due in advance upon tbe first day of each term When the amount due is sent or brought by the Pupil to the Secretary's office card of admission for the Term is given in exchange The Principal requests each Pupil of the School on entering his second Term to contribute the sum of towards the expense of the restoration of the College Chapel and this sum will be found in the accounts but it is to be understood that this payment is optional XIII BOOKS All books in use in King's College School are the property of the College and are supplied to tbe boys on loan from the Secretary's Office Each boy except those in the Upper Sixth Class is entitled to the use of full set of the books in ordinary use in his Class In the Upper Sixth Class Pupils retain the use of such books as they received in the Lower Sixth but no others are supplied to them except on payment The following are the rules and regulations under which books are lent Each Pupil will be held responsible for the due care and safe keeping of the books supplied to him All books supplied to Pupils remain the sole property of tbe Council of King's College London and are ou no account to be lent or made use of except for College purposes Whenever from changing Classes or other cause any book is no longer required it is to be at once returned to the Secretary
