THE SCHOOL 399 VIII rules as to the admission of pupils Every person wishing to place Pupil in the School must produce to the head master certificate of good conduct signed by his last instructor New Pupils are admitted at the beginning of each Term viz in 1878-79 on Tuesday September 24 January 14 and April 22 and after the close of each Half-term see next page The general age for admission is from eight to sixteen years of age but boys requiring special preparation for the Military Medical and Legal Examinations for Civil Service Appointments or Mercantile Life can be entered above this age subject to the special approval of the Head Master Parents desirous of obtaining any particulars before entering pupil are requested to communicate by letter with the Head Master at King's College London The Head Master will during Term see any parents who may wish to make appointments for the purpose of consulting him on Wednesdays between 30 and at King's College The Council require that Half Term's notice be given to the Secretary in writing of the removal of pupil from the School This Notice must be given before the close of the first half of the term in which boy is to leave and if not so given the payment of half term's fees will be required The Secretary makes practice of sending formal acknowledgment of the receipt of this notice The Half Terms in 1878-79 will end on Saturday November Friday February 28 and Saturday June 21
