MEDICAL DEPARTMENT 251 1878 Matthews Valentine Norvill Frederick Harvey Crookshank Edgar March Maddison William Tbomas Thomson St Clair West John Arthur aeq Senior Second Year Junior XX lass ψχψ lintcal ψχί ΐ 2T irttficaiiS of honour JIUrit an& tttniiance Prizes are awarded for proficiency in the several subjects of Anatomy Physiology Practical Physiology Practical Biology Chemistry Practical Chemistry Materia Medica Surgery Medicine Midwifery Botany Forensic Medicine Pathological Anatomy and Comparative Anatomy These consist of Books of the value of £3 and are given to the highest Student in the Examination provided that such Student exhibits sufficient merit to entitle him to receive prize Two Medical Clinical Prizes are given one of for the Winter Session and the other of 21 for the Summer Session Two Surgical Clinical Prizes of the value of 31 each are given at the close of each Winter Session Candidates for the Clinical Prizes will be required- To write from memory the particulars of four cases taken from the practice of the Physicians or Surgeons as the case may be which have been treated in the Hospital during the preceding Session each Candidate may select his own cases but the cases selected must as far as possible be taken equally from the practice of each of the Physicians or Surgeons as the case may be To give in writing for the Medical Prizes the substance of three of the Clinical Lectures one delivered by each of
